The configuration of each macro consists of three sections: Content search, Macro specific, and Gallery item.

Content search

In this section, you will find the configuration options for content search that are the same for every macro.

Query Builder

Utilize our convenient Query Builder to search for the desired content you want to display.

Contents

Configure here what content to search for and display. Define sources from which the content should be listed.

Sources search

Enter a search term that will be used in the ‘Sources’ drop-down to search for sources.

Sources

Select sources for which the gallery content should found. If no source is selected, then the current page will be used as the source.

The sources need to be selected from the results of drop-down. The results will only be displayed once a 'Sources search' is provided.

The sources search can be performed multiple times. Previously selected sources will be retained until they are deselected.

Properties

When searching for gallery contents based on the selected sources, the following indexed properties of content can be taken into consideration.

Ancestor (only with Page Type) - Display all pages where the respective source is an ancestor.

Container (only with Attachment Type) - Display all attachments associated with the source.

ID - Display the source.

Parent (only with Page Type) - Display all pages where the respective source is an parent.

Labels

Provide labels separated by commas to search for. For example: mylabel, otherlabel

Excluding Contents

Configure here which content should be excluded from the search.

Exclude sources search

Enter a search term that will be used in the ‘Exclude sources’ drop-down to search for sources.

Exclude sources

Select sources from which the gallery content should be excluded.

The sources need to be selected from the results of drop-down. The results will only be displayed once a 'Exclude sources search term' is provided.

The sources search can be performed multiple times. Previously selected sources will be retained until they are deselected.

Exclude properties

When searching for content to be excluded based on the selected sources, the following indexed properties of content can be taken into consideration.

Ancestor (only with Page Type) - Display all pages where the respective source is an ancestor.

Container (only with Attachment Type) - Display all attachments associated with the source.

ID - Display the source.

Parent (only with Page Type) - Display all pages where the respective source is an parent.

Exclude labels

Provide labels separated by commas to search for. For example: mylabel, otherlabel

Content Types

Types

Select the content types you wish to display. If no types are checked, it will be akin to searching for all types.

Sorting

Sort

Specify the attribute to sort by. The sort order is ascending unless you select the 'Reverse' sort type.

None (default)

Title - sort by title

Created - sort by created date

Last-modified - sort by last modification date

Sort type

Enable the 'Reverse' option to change the sorting order from ascending to descending.

Custom Search

Custom CQL

Define custom CQL for an advanced search. All fields of Query Builder disregarded for this.

Common

Limit

Number of items per search result.

Media Types

Filter attachments of search result that match the media types selected. If no media type is selected, all attachments will be displayed.

Image (JPEG, PNG, GIF)

PDF

Multimedia (Audio, Video)

ZIP

Currently, the filtering is a workaround solution, as Confluence does not support searching by media types. The number of filtered items may differ from the total found items. We are striving to create a better solution for this.
